How I Help My Clients:

I look at a client and guide them as if it were my own business.  I look at their organization objectively and holistically, assess their need and develop a strategy that will encourage them to meet specific growth goals.  I work with the team at Cowley to insure these goals are met and that every client has a great experience in working with us.

Why I Do What I Do:

I do what I do because I have felt all the emotions and issues that keep a business owner up at night. I know that this concept is what business owners, especially in today’s environment, need now. I can look over our 43 years in business and assess what we could have done differently to have grown the business in a more “on purpose” way.  If there was a team of CAPulse partners that could have helped us look at our business objectively, and provided affordable solutions for every area of the business that affected consistent growth, AND worked with us to make it happen....we would have hired them in a heartbeat.

Achievements:

Starting a business, growing a business, refining the product offerings as the business grew and providing every client with solid marketing and communications strategies to help their business grow. Education, degrees, certifications, and awards play a small part, what counts is the depth of relevant life and business experience. This has gotten me where I am today.

The better you know yourself and your ability to read people, let’s say it’s having a high EQ, will allow you to put yourself in the other person’s shoes, which is how I am able to help others consistently in life and business.  Throughout my life I have studied successful people, watched what they did, listened closely to what they said, and looked at how they led their lives. This was invaluable in how I grew in my role.

Serving on as many Boards of Directors as I have and carefully watching what made a successful organization has allowed me to implement strategies for Cowley that I would otherwise not be aware of.

How I Spend My Free Time:

I like movies, reading, the sunshine and warmth of our Florida home, especially during the winter months. Spending time with my family makes me happy. Today's world doesn't easily offer much downtime, so whenever possible, I love to retreat and rejuvenate, take time to actually think about things, be at peace with myself.

A long time ago, I read a book that talked about the importance of having a mission in life. It was then that I realized the purpose that drives me: to encourage, inspire and ignite passion in the lives of the people around me.  That’s what gets me up in the morning.

Cost & Cash Flow Specialist

How I Help My Clients:

I help organizations get their costs right, by recovering money they’ve overpaid vendors and implementing cost reduction opportunities. I assume all financial risk in my client relationships by working on a performance-basis, meaning I don’t receive compensation unless my clients realize a cash flow improvement.

My specialties include: cost control, cost efficiency, cash flow management, cost-benefit analysis, negotiation, and process improvement.

Why I Do What I Do:

I have a strong desire to help others and am passionate about helping organizations improve cash flow. I like to eliminate waste of any kind, especially money.

Prior to starting my cost recovery business, I worked for Fortune 500 companies, including a manufacturer, a distributor, and a local utility. During this time, I honed my skills as a cost and profitability analyst. I tried justifying my salary by finding annual cost savings equaling at least 3-times my salary. In my quest to find cost savings, I discovered organizations don’t have the time or expertise to properly verify and benchmark key expenses. I started my business so that I could help organizations save on their business costs, by providing insight that is not available on most procurement and financial teams.

How I Spend My Free Time:

I enjoy spending time with my wife, three sons, and two dogs. In addition, I enjoy exercising, volunteering, coaching youth sports, traveling, and attending sporting events – in particular, SU basketball.

I’m continuously investing in self-improvement by reading books, listening to podcasts, and meeting others. I also stay abreast on industry insights and trends, to remain a valuable resource for my current and future clients.

How I Help My Clients:

I began my career working at 3 of the top ten Advertising agencies in Boston for 11 years. The last being a Senior Designer at Mullen Lowe (Adweek’s U.S. 2018 Hottest Agency) I contributed creative design solutions for National accounts to answer the strategic focus for logo & brand identity, P.O.P. advertising, and public relations. I managed designers, vendors, art and production departments within budget.

After moving to Central New York in 1995, I started my own design studio, specializing in brand identity.  I've successfully worked with a broad range of industries and budgets. I take the mystery out of the creative process. Starting with an agreed understanding of who my clients are, how they want to be perceived and where they want to go. Every piece of creative has to answer to this strategy. Clients appreciate my expertise, patience and sense of humor. In fact, most of them are referrals from happy clients.

I apply strategic innovative design for new and extended brands over a multi-platform approach consisting of collateral, brand development, digital, advertising, and P.O.P.

(Translation: I understand who you are and where you want to go and then visually articulate your specific message within any application.)

Why I Do What I Do:

I'm passionate about visually improving everything that touches my life. This could be a kitchen, garden, website or logo, "it’s all about understanding the purpose, proportion and esthetic." Good design is timeless, but it helps to know what is trending. How to be current and memorable without falling into a boutique, one dimensional executions are what set her apart.  My creative process is easy to understand and driven by client enthusiasm. I always strive for those light bulb moments where strategy and creative meet!

Achievements:

Multiple award winning designs: AIGA, Hatch/Greater Boston Ad Club and Print Magazine.
Over 20 years of donated design services: Vincent House, Vera House, Mathew House, Rescue Mission, The Red House, Skaneateles Arts Council, 6 years of Set design for Skaneateles H.S., The Dharma Yoga Center NYC and Dharma Yoga Syracuse.

How I Help My Clients:

Using our detailed, proprietary review process, we make businesses more profitable by uncovering and capturing often unused tax credits, tax deductions and cost savings.  We work with companies to modernize benefit programs so that they are not just cost effective, but effective. People don’t just want benefits for the sake of having benefits, they want programs that help them meet their personal health goals, financial goals and family goals.

Why I Do What I Do:

I get up each day knowing that I provide individuals and businesses with ideas, strategies, and guidance that helps them be more successful in living their lives and running their businesses.  People are overwhelmed with bits and pieces of information and with increasing responsibilities. If I can make the things that they are already doing more effective so that they can spend more time doing the things that are important to them, then I will continue to be successful.
